Overview
U-CARE (United Community Awareness and Responsibility Endeavour) is UHGIS’s flagship social responsibility program. U-CARE’s vision is to develop a sustainable community service program that will contribute towards development and well-being of the society. This program is aimed at creating a culture of service within the organization by encouraging employees to contribute towards social welfare activities through its voluntary program.
The organization has partnered with five NGOs from the local geographies, two from Gurgaon and three from Hyderabad to support the welfare, health and wellness and overall development of less privileged sections of society.
CHORD/Ashirwad
CHORD aims to bring about social and qualitative changes in the lives of less privileged and desperately poor by actively participating in the process of social transformation. Aashirwad, a part of CHORD, is a unique home, school and shelter for the child laborers, street children and destitute.

Heal a Child Foundation
Heal a Child Foundation aims to heal and save the critically ill children who are in dire need of medical attention but lack the financial resources to undergo the treatment.
Neerikshana
Nireekshana is a health and research project striving to give fullness of life, health and a spirit of hope to those affected by HIV/AIDS by providing counseling, medical, emotional and spiritual care.

Vidya
Vidya is a non-profit organization that works with underprivileged women and children in the society. They believe in empowering these children and women through education and other integrated programs that are designed to implement progressive change in the society.

Salaam Baalak Trust
Salaam Baalak trust was started by famous movie director Mira Nair. This trust works with street children who do not have families and restores them to the world of childhood.

Our programs
Volunteer program
- Mentorship – Volunteers closely work with 2-3 children to coach them on academic issues as well as other aspects of life.
- Recreation – Design and participate in recreation activities with the children. E.g., music and dance classes, picnics, educational trips to museums, cricket matches, etc
- Infrastructure development – Assist the NGOs with their infrastructure requirements, such as planting saplings in their school, developing a computer lab, helping them with their finance and accounting requirements, etc.
Health and Wellness program
- U-CARE provides aid to all the NGO partners in developing medical rooms, periodic medical check ups, detoxification programs, vaccines and treatment for common diseases amongst the children such as tuberculosis, dysentery, polio, HIV, etc.
- Health awareness campaigns for children and their families
